Welcome to the Lakes Region Lacrosse Club!

April 2020: Well, folks, we at LRLC are not going to sugarcoat it: April is here but a spring 2020 lacrosse season is far from a certainty by the infernal COVID-19 virus. LRLC is working with NH Youth Lacrosse Association (NHYLA) and US Lacrosse to obtain the latest information with regard to how COVID-19 (the coronavirus) will continue to affect the season. With each news cycle, it becomes more and more probable that the spring 2020 season will ultimately be a season that never was. THERE IS STILL HOPE! The LRLC Board asks for your continued patience as information is gathered and assessed. A definite answer should be known by mid-April. It hopefully goes without saying that the health and safety of the children is the primary consideration. With all that said, here are some updates:

  • The LRLC Board has been busy looking for ways LRLC can help those who have been impacted the most around the Lakes Region. One thing is certain: Lakes Region General Hospital and other care facilities are in DESPERATE NEED OF FACEMASKS. PLEASE HELP OUT BY MAKING YOUR OWN! LRGH has provided instructions on its website:
    • LRLC will work with LRGH and other agencies to make sure the masks get to where they're needed most. If you make any, please let us know!
  • All uniform orders have been canceled as of Friday, March 27. This was done to ensure that folks would not be left holding a pretty uniform in the event of a season that didn't happen. Had the uniform order been processed, the money would not have been refundable. If the season ends up happening, albeit delayed, we will resort to the less fashionable, yet equally effective, pinnies! Refunds will be coming directly from Brine Team Sales.
  • LRLC is prepared to provide refunds to families for the season's registration fees in the event of a formal cancellation. As alluded to above, however, we're also hopeful that we might be able to devise a fundraiser for the local community, and may ask for volunteers to donate a portion of the registration fees to the region's COVID-19 response in lieu of receiving a full refund. It's all very fluid at the moment given that the season may -- and hopefully will -- still happen in some abbreviated fashion, but any initial feedback is certainly welcomed!

LRLC wishes all Lakes Region families a healthy and happy spring 2020. Stay home and stay sanitized!
